Like Crashing Waves Book

For a recent exhibition, I created a series of conceptually branded materials for my new website Like Crashing Waves. This book formed a part of that set.

My time in Japan was very special to me, and I captured some amazing scenes. I decided to take the best photos and make a book out of them, especially as my photos look even better in print than they do on a screen!

Cosplay Calendar 2015

Not the first calendar I've put together, but this is one of my favourites. Using a colour scheme that's not strongly warm or cool, combined with the use of "pixelated" squares for a subtle texture made for a great aesthetic that works well with the various costumes that were in this calendar. The use of warmer colours at the top of the gradients helps with the information hierarchy, guiding the viewer through the information in a logical manner.

Like Crashing Waves Physical Branding

The second part of my branding experiment (the first was a book), I created the business cards and the holder to work together. By extending the branding to not only the business cards, but the holder as well, I created a stronger, more personal brand. The holder is made out of perspex that was laser cut and etched. Laser cutting is extremely precise, and I love the amount of things that you can do with a laser cutter!
